Heavy Metal News of the Week 25th November

After launching a scathing attack on producer Rick Rubin (see video on Metal Hammer) Corey Taylor has at least confirmed that there will be at least one more studio album for Slipknot which is the words of Corey Taylor will be “very melancholy. It’s going to be a more saddened form of rage when it does happen, and it will be a path that we’ve never gone down before” After seeing their performance at Sonisphere 2011 it’s definitely one I will check out.

Dave Lombardo of Slayer recently tweeted about Slayer being back to writing new material. After two years of touring this will be good news for Slayer fans. The band are playing this one close to their chest and the fact that they are working on a new album seems to be the full extent of information available on this...
